Hi! Thank you for choosing me to help you reach your journey to peace. As my client, your wellbeing is my priority. I value your words, your time, and your commitment to reaching your goals, whatever those may be! I see you are hurting in one or more areas in your life…but know that hope and joy are just around the corner.
Seeking therapy is a scary decision for most people. My practice is focused on utilizing a warm, caring, and nonjudgmental approach. I want to help you build on your strengths and the courage you are already tapping into through seeking support. You are valued. You are important. You have a lot of gifts and abilities. Lets bring those to light!
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) licensed in the state of Georgia to provide mental health therapy to children, adolescents, and adults. My niche is child, adolescent, and family therapy with a specialization in trauma-focused work. Trauma is defined as a deeply difficult or disturbing experience. There are bigger traumas such as abuse, witnessing a violent act, death of a loved one, natural disasters, and more. There are smaller traumas such as a move, a change at work or school, a serious disagreement with a loved one, etc. I am here to help you wade through the experiences you’ve had to overcome and thrive.
I am also skilled in helping individuals with terminal illness cope with their grief and gain supportive resources. I graduated from Kennesaw State University with a Master of Social Work degree earning a specialization in Children and Families. I have provided therapy within diverse settings including inpatient and outpatient mental health treatment facilities; elementary, middle, and high schools; and outpatient hospice care.
I work from a strengths-based, supportive treatment approach. I believe that every individual has the ability to succeed and make positive choices, regardless of their struggles. Life’s hardships can mask who we are truly meant to be. It is my belief that every individual is inherently good and has purpose. Through processing and dedication to care, we are able to shed our masks and reveal our true inner beauty and strength. I will walk with you through your journey and encourage you.
I utilize evidenced-based, therapeutic approaches based upon what I perceive would be most helpful to you in reaching your goals. I have received training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT approach), expressive therapies (utilizing art, play, sandtray, music, etc.), trauma-focused CBT, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Rapid Resolution Therapy (RRT), and motivational interviewing.
In the first session, we will spend time going over consent forms. You can print the documents under the Forms tab and bring completed to the first session to have more time to discuss issues. We will discuss your, your child’s, or your family’s needs in this session. Once I have completed a thorough assessment of you/your child’s needs, I will discuss my plans and goals for treatment with you. You can rest assured that all information shared will remain confidential and respected.
Contact me for free consultation! (First time callers only).
Looking forward to walking with you toward peace.
